ChemDesign Grows Contract Chemical Manufacturing Business with Production Building Advancements

Marinette, WI– ChemDesign, a custom chemical contract manufacturing company based in Northeast Wisconsin, is in the process of updating some of their production buildings in Marinette. The construction is scheduled to begin in September 2024 and is projected to be completed by the end of the year. These facility enhancements aim to significantly upgrade our production capabilities, thereby better supporting the growth needs of our customers.

The renovation of Building-52 will involve the installation or replacement of several reactors, receivers, bulk tanks, heat exchangers and the addition of advanced filtration equipment.  Working jointly with our customer, Building-52 will evolve to increase capacity and enhance production capability per the needs of our customer.

Building-69 will soon have a new solvent recovery system implemented to effectively capture process solvents for direct process recycling. This system will improve operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. Enhanced materials management, waste reduction, and continuous process optimization are key to how ChemDesign operates. This project is the result of a larger 2 to 3-year customer-focused initiative, during which we collaborated to create smart solutions that increased volumes, reduced waste generation, and ensured safe operations.
