Revised Toxic Substance Control Act at Year 4: Taking the Pulse
Key Topics: Regulatory, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Initially it seemed that the most significant effect of revised TSCA on the chemical industry would be the prioritization and evaluation of existing substances. It turns out that changes to the Premanufacture Notice (PMN) program for addition of “new” substances that were not listed on the original inventory has had a much larger immediate impact. But the prioritization and risk evaluation of “existing substances” has begun in earnest. And, as with most new regulatory paradigms, unintended consequences only become evident during implementation. This talk will provide an overview of what TSCA has become in 2020 for new and existing substances, and look into the crystal ball for 2021 and beyond.
Speaker:Jeffrey Hafer, Senior Regulatory Scientist, knoell USA, LLC

Key Topics: Supply Chain; Business Resilience; Response Plans
The onset of COVID-19 is testing business resilience across all industries. Our presentation will outline the COVID-19 lessons learned and will introduce the process we use (Respond, Restore, Prepare) to recover from and prepare for potential future pandemics.
