On June 13 SOCMA hosted its inaugural Specialties Forum at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia, PA, that brought together executive-level decision makers at this invitation-only half-day event. We received very positive feedback from attendees on both the format and content of these forums. Daniel Cohen of RBC Capital Markets gave a very insightful presentation on the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO)/Contract Research Organization (CRO) valuations and industry trends.
The focus of this forum was on the pharmaceutical market and was of particular interest to companies in that space, or those looking to expand into drug substance or drug products.
During the roundtable discussion, attendees shared their perspectives on various topics, ranging from current industry trends to the flow of domestic business climate.
Specialties Forums are customized for industry decision makers to discuss trends, network and gather intelligence. These new regional events were created with the purpose of providing more platforms for peer-to-peer interaction and conversations around benchmarking best practices across the specialty and fine chemicals industry. They are part of our new ChemSectors program that is designed to help members with commercial development and insights up and down the supply chain, whether your business services Performance, Pharmaceutical or Agricultural markets.Stay tuned for dates and information about our two upcoming Specialties Forums later this year!
